Pitchfork has decided to end your working week with a big Pitchfork Music Festival announcement!
Last week they unveiled the stellar headliners with a live feed of artist
Shelby Rodeffer methodically lettering LCD Soundsystem, A Tribe Called Quest, and Solange on a multi colored wall for just slightly over 2 hours. This morning, they continued the series of intricate reveals with another live video on their Facebook page detailing the rest of the lineup for Pitchfork Music Festival, which will be taking over Union Park on July 14th -16th!
This year's festival looks like it will be a blast as it has double downed on their typically diverse lineup. There are so many great music styles at play here that will be represented by the top musicians of their respective genres. You'll be able to dance away the days with the like of experimental producers like Acra & Jesse Kanda, Nicholas Jaar, and The Avalanches (!). If your feeling some guitar driven sounds, Angel Olsen, Frankie Cosmos, and William Tyler will be perfect for you. Hip-hop also gets some worthy representation with Joey Purp, Danny Brown, and Vince Staples on the list. Honestly, this is year feels like a lineup of highlights considering I haven't mentioned the likes of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, PJ Harvey (!!), Dirty Projectors, and oh so many more! The Pitchfork Music Festival will take place July 14th-16th 2017. Tickets are currently available for $75 a day and $175 for a three-day pass (which has a layaway option if you need it).
