A Thanksgiving tradition as reliable as Grandma’s pumpkin pie, the Music Box Theatre once again invites fans of the 1965 best picture winner The Sound of Music to “solve a problem like Maria” as they count a “few of their favorite things” and sing-along with the Von Trapps in glorious technicolor.

Not sure of all the lyrics? No problem. The Music Box provides the words projected on screen, as well as (according to the press release) a pre-show costume contest with interactive fun packs for kids and adults.
Guests will be led through a vocal warm-up before hearing instructions on how to use their complimentary props at specific points during the film, much like the infamous interactive screenings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
A holiday favorite, the Music Box Theatre’s The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long begins this Friday, November 24 and runs weekends until Sunday, December 3. A full schedule, including showtimes and information on purchasing tickets is here.
