Gov. Rauner Gets Hands-On at Quincy Veterans Home Following Deaths
Just ahead of a public hearing concerning the cause of the deadly Legionnaires' disease at a Quincy state-run veterans home, Governor Bruce Rauner checked in to investigate its overall conditions. Critics suggest that he begins his research "too little, too late," and as part of his campaign for re-election. A WBEZ-FM report found that the poor quality of water was found to be the killer of more than 12 residents of the veterans home (Chicago Tribune).
