Chicago Might Become One of First Set of Cities to Adopt Textalyzer Technology
The Textalyzer is a tool police would use to determine when a driver was texting before a traffic accident. Ald. Edward Burke proposed the use of the technology, though he hasn't confirmed it, and in November also proposed a $500 fine for cell phone use while driving. That proposal has not been discussed in detail. Cellebrite is the company behind the Textalyzer, whose cost and finalized development have yet to be projected (Chicago Tribune).
