Follow the money
With the Illinois 2018 gubernatorial race on par to be the most expensive race for governor in history, Propublica Illinois has created a widget using data from the Illinois State Board of Elections to show just how much money candidates are raising and spending. At present, the top five candidates have raised a collective $136.6 million and spent $58.2 million. Incumbent Governor Bruce Rauner leads the pack with $75.1 million, followed by billionaire businessman J.B. Pritzker, who has raised $49.2 million. (Propublica Illinois)
