Preview: Glassjaw and Quicksand are Co-Headlining Concord Music Hall This Sunday
The perfect post-hardcore tour that consist of New York legends Glassjaw and Quicksand is coming through Chicago on Sunday July 8th, for one of 20 tour dates throughout the United States this summer.
Long Island’s Glassjaw recognized mostly for 2002’s Worship and Tribute, one of the best post-hardcore albums ever made, has been very active since their reemergence in 2008, after a brief hiatus from 2004-2007, with rememberable Riot Fest performances in 2013 and 2016 and their third studio album, the first in 15 years, 2017’s Material Control.
New York’s Quicksand has had a streaky but consistent career of early tours with Rage Against The Machine, Fugazi, and Anthrax. After a brief reunion in the late 90s the band has been touring nonstop since their 2012 return, mainly touring outside of the U.S. in Brazil, Chile, England, and Germany. In 2017, they also released their long awaited third album, Interiors, their first album in 22 years, which makes this an even more intriguing tour with two hard hitting bands playing some of their newest and most polished material.
This is the first and probably the last time you’ll be able to see these two bands play and co-headline each other, especially in the Chicago. You can grab tickets for this Sunday’s show in person at Concord Music Hall’s ticket office or online through Concord Music Hall.
