There are markets, literary and cultural discussions, concerts, beer, and art all over town just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed! So get out there and have some fun! THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th Sauced Night Market Anniversary Show! @ House of Vans, 113 N Elizabeth St, 5:00pm - 10:00pm, All Ages WHAT: A night-time market in Chicago's coolest venue SO WHAT: Sauced Night Market celebrates its anniversary at House of Vans. The roving night market has been showcasing vendors for five years now and they'll be returning to the West Loop warehouse/skate park/concert hall for its second—and last—time of 2019 with another great lineup of 40 local vendors slinging their awesome wares! This event will also feature tunes from DJ Johnny Walker and a live painted mural by Revise CMW and Fonte. NOW WHAT: It's free with RSVP! This event is all ages! Adler After Dark: Rocketoberfest @ The Adler Planetarium, 1300 S Lake Shore Dr, 6:00pm - 10:00pm, 21+ WHAT: Raise a pint and look to the sky at this special Oktoberfest-themed Adler After Dark! SO WHAT: Celebrate the start of Oktoberfest with Adler Planetarium by learning about exciting space tourism developments with special talks and some real rocket science with hands-on programs that will test your engineering mettle! In addition to the awesome info on NASA, SpaceX Virgin Galactic's push to the stars, you'll be able to indulge in specialty pretzels and brews from Empirical Brewery and Marz Community Brewing, and chat with representatives from DANK Haus German American Cultural Center about their super cool new exhibition! And dance the night away with musical stylings of local German Oompah band Die Musikmeisters! NOW WHAT: Tickets are $20 for this great evening! Kevin Coval and Jessica Hopper @ Volumes Bookcafe, 1474 N Milwaukee Ave,8:00pm = 10:00pm, All Ages WHAT: Two great writers in conversation at this great bookstore/cafe! SO WHAT: Kevin Coval and Jessica Hopper and Volumes Bookcafe will be celebrating the release of Kevin’s new book Everything Must Go! The book is illustrated by Langston Allston and dives into what has been lost in transition from Wicker Park of the '90s to the neighborhood as it is now. Coval and Hopper will be discussing Wicker Park, their books, and the changing of a neighborhood, good and bad. NOW WHAT:Tickets are $18! Each ticket comes with a copy of Coval’s new book. FRIDAY & SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th & 21st 312 Block Party @ Goose Island, 1800 W Fulton St, 5:00pm, 21+ WHAT: The annual block party of Goose Island beer, food, and music SO WHAT: This year, the Goose Island Block party is bigger then ever. They will beer pouring fresh beer both days for only $3, including some rare treats in their taproom,and will have plenty of food trucks on hand to satisfy your palate. Their sound is steeped in lore, summoning visions of DnD scenarios drenched with visceral metal instrumentation and a pitch perfect splashes of J-pop shimmer. The band is led by Su-metal and Moametal and their live show are a spectacle worthy of their intense sound! BABYMETAL will be making a stop in Chicago along with Swedish metal dynasty act Avatar! NOW WHAT: Tickets are $53 for this must see show! SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st Sucklord in Chicago @ Galerie F / Toy de Jour / Logan Arcade, 2415 N Milwaukee Ave & 2064 N. Western Ave & 2410 W. Fullerton Ave., 2:30pm - 1:00am WHAT: The one and only Super Sucklord is gracing Logan Square with his dubious presence for one action-packed day of bootleg toys, hip-hop, and refined conversation. SO WHAT:  The Sucklord is a New York City Pop Artist and Television Personality known for his subversive Action Figure mashups and Supervillain aesthetics. He will be making three separate appearances thanks to Collecticon Toys!

  • Toy de Jour - 2064 N. We stern Ave 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Exclusive figure release of the SUCKLORD 68: OLD STYLE Bootleg Figure will be available at this stop. The Sucklord will be on hand to sign pieces and take photos. A small Retrospective Show of recent SUCKADELIC INVESTIGATIONS framed works will also be on display and available to purchase. All Ages
  • Logan Arcade - 2410 W. Fullerton Ave. 8:00 PM till close The Sucklord holds court and brings out Chicago’s own Tewz Rock to spin dusted beats and keep things moving. The Sucklord and Tewz will release their Chicago-Themed Cassette tape The Same OLD STYLE only at this event. Twin Peaks In-Store Performance & Record Signing @ Shuga Recrods,1272 N Milwaukee Ave, 5:00pm, All Ages WHAT: Local band taking over an excellent record store! SO WHAT: In Honor of Twin Peaks’ latest record release, Lookout Low, the band will be performing some songs and signing some things for the Shuga crowd! If you haven’t been to a Shuga instore performance, you’re in for a treat! Get there early and preorder the album for express entry because this is a can miss event!! NOW WHAT:  Show is free! (the band with a question mark not just the question) SO WHAT: WHY?, fronted by Yoni Wolf, is a little difficult to pin down. Is he just indie rock? Is he alternative hip hop? Why not both? Or none. Whatever you want to call WHY?’s sound it's absolutely amazing and his latest album OKOHIO is a solid addition into his catalog, condensing his sound into its purest form.
