The little heatwave has not only graced us with clear skies and fun ties in the sun, but all the Riot Fest Lineup! Riot Fest revealed the artists coming to Chicago for their 2022 outing! There are quite a few familiar names on the list finally fulfilling their destined Riot Fest performances!
Riot Fest will be returning to Douglass Park from September 16th to the 18th! Headliners announced so far include the My Chemical Romance (who thought ahead and moved their set to this year's fest) on Friday, legendary punk outfit The Misfits in their original form performing Walk Among Us for the Saturday crowd, and Sunday getting the long awaited treat of Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Nine Inch Nails (who had to cancel their set at the last minute last year)!
As always Riot Fest is keeping the rest of their lineup eclectic as hell with tons of genres represented. You'll get punk highlights like Alkaline Trio and The Descendants, some excellent hip-hop jams from Action Bronson and Ice Cube, indie behemoths like Sleater Kinney, the sole 2022 show from Yellowcard, and so much more. And how could we forget GWAR? Never forget GWAR.
Unlike last year, which had most of the tickets pre-sold from 2020 (oh how I do not miss pandemic shifting things around so recklessly), tickets are readily available! Both 3 day and Single day passes are available! Safety measures regarding COVID-19, which are a top priority to the festival, will be frequently updated, as directed by local health and public safety officials.
