Preview: The Strokes, Beach Bunny, & NNAMDÏ Will Perform at Credit Union 1 Arena in Support of Kina Collins

It's been two years since The Strokes first gave their support to Illinois 7th Congressional district candidate Kina Collins. The legendary rock group performed a fantastic set at a sold-out Metro. Now they are coming back to Chicago, this time on March 8 at the Credit Union 1 Arena, to show their continued support of the candidate.

This time around, The Strokes and Collins will be getting some help from a pair of local bands: Beach Bunny and NNAMDÏ . Both bands are Chicago favorites, and add a heaping dose of sonic diversity to the night. While The Strokes will offer up the finest New York rock you can hope for, Beach Bunny (who took over The Salt Shed in the sweltering heat last year) will be on hand delivering their undeniably catchy and glistening indie pop. NNAMDÏ in turn will be putting his genre-dodging soundscapes (seriously, check out the hypnotic "I Don't Want To Be Famous" and try to nail it down) in the spotlight.

Collins, who is running once again as a Democrat, wants give the Illinois 7th district a new and modern voice as she mentioned during the 2022 fundraiser: incumbent Rep. Danny K. Davis has been in his position since Collins was 5 years old. Collins is running on a platform that will address gun violence, institutionalized poverty and inequity.

Tickets for the Strokes, Beach Bunny, and NNAMDÏ's performance in support of Illinois 7th Congressional district candidate Kina Collins will go on sale TODAY, February 2, at 10am.
