Preview: Daisies Chicago’s Newest Venture Is The Radicle, an Affordable Cocktail Bar in Logan Square

Eight years into its successful run, Daisies Chicago has done it again. After the restaurant's 2023 move to 2375 N Milwaukee Ave in Logan Square, Daisies is bringing it back to where it all started, opening a new spot in its original 2523 N Milwaukee location. Just down the block from Daisies 2.0, the neighborhood’s latest offering is The Radicle, an all-day cocktail bar with delicious fare and a creative approach to coastal Italian cuisine. And though it doesn't open for a few more months, this fall is definitely looking better with The Radicle on the horizon.

Named for the first root that emerges from a seed, the Radicle is an ode to all that Daisies has accomplished since its first project eight years ago. This fall, Italian flavors meet a Midwestern influence, with a cocktail menu designed by bar manager and two-time Tales of the Cocktail nominee Nicole Yarovinsky. The owner and executive chef at Daisies, Jo Frillman, shared why this new project feels both timely and necessary. “Since Covid, late night culture has really taken a hit in Logan Square. We want to be one of the spots on Milwaukee Avenue that’s helping to bring those vibes back to the neighborhood.”

Frillman has a clear vision for what the Radicle will offer its community. “Whether you’re popping in for happy hour spritz after work, lingering over dinner, or coming by for some strong drinks to end the night, we’re ready for all of it.” One of the most appealing aspects of this new hotspot will be its price point: $10 cocktails alongside artisanal pizzas, fresh seafood, and Daisies’ signature veggie-driven delights, sourced directly from the Frillman farm in St. Joseph, Michigan. Affordable, innovative cocktails and a delicious food menu are sure to set the Radicle up for success.

You can keep up with the Radicle at @radiclechicago and Daises at @daisieschicago. The Radicle will be located at 2523 N Milwaukee, and Daisies is located at 2375 N Milwaukee Ave. For more information and hours, visit daisieschicago.com.
