American Writers Museum and Chicago Public Library Announce Full Schedule for American Writers Festival

The American Writers Festival will feature more than 90 writers and 40 programs. All festival programs are free and open to the public, with seating offered on a first come, first served basis. Guests include 2026 Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Kraus (Angel Down), Reza Aslan, Tananarive Due, Eve L. Ewing, John Fugelsang, Lauren Groff, Jen Hatmaker, Bill Kurtis, Susan Orlean, Maggie Smith and Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda del Valle.

The Wild Night

From the website: "The Wild Night is a storytelling series featuring tales of eventful nights: high school hijinks, drunken debauchery, odd encounters, night shift insanity, etc. The sorts of things that only seem to happen after dark."

Performers include Victoria Montalbano, Tori Szekeres, Aaron Silvers, and host Andrew Huff! A few open mic slots are available for those who want to share their own five-minute story.

Admission is FREE; for ages 21 and over.

Zine Club Chicago Launches Southwest Side Zine Library

Zine Club Chicago announces their brand-new Southwest Side Zine Library, a free community resource stocked with assorted self-published titles. The collection will be permanently housed at the Archer Heights branch of the Chicago Public Library. The event is open to all ages. Participants may review the zine library and engage in zine-making session, Zine Club Chicago founding member Liz Mason will be available for an Ask the Zine Doctor session, answering all zine-related questions. Snacks will be available.

Lady Live Lit Show MissSpoken presents the OCCUPATION show
