Wayne's World in Millennium Park - It's your last chance to see a movie al fresco this summer in Chicago's biggest outdoor movie theater, and the city's going out with a bang. On its 25th anniversary, none other than Alice Cooper (who, you'll recall, has a cameo in the film) will introduce the American comedy classic. Film starts at 6:30p.m.; singing along to Bohemian Rhapsody is optional.

48-Hour Film Project - A nationwide initiative, Chicago's 48-Hour Film Project actually already happened, when teams of filmmakers banded together to create a new short film according to surprise criteria. This month, head out to Music Box Theatre to check them all out and see who takes home top honors.

mother! - Darren Aronofsky is averaging a new film every few years, so when the creative mind behind Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler and Black Swan has a new one, it's worth taking note. Jennifer Lawrence stars as a woman who finds her tranquil home life upended when unexpected guests arrive. Based on the trailer (below), this one's not for the faint of heart.
