48-Hour Film Project - A nationwide initiative, Chicago's 48-Hour Film Project actually already happened, when teams of filmmakers banded together to create a new short film according to surprise criteria. This month, head out to Music Box Theatre to check them all out and see who takes home top honors.

September 15

mother! - Darren Aronofsky is averaging a new film every few years, so when the creative mind behind Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler and Black Swan has a new one, it's worth taking note. Jennifer Lawrence stars as a woman who finds her tranquil home life upended when unexpected guests arrive.
