Lettuce Entertain You To Open Four-Level Complex Along Riverfront

Restaurant Empire Lettuce Entertain You is planning to open a four-level entertainment space on the Riverfront, as part of a $50 million development upgrade to a building at 321 N. Clark. The space will house a two-level seafood restaurant, along with two other venues operated by the company. A 300-seat private event space will have its own level, and the complex will include boat slips. “Making the riverfront a public priority is now driving private investment that will create jobs and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike,” said Mayor Rahm Emanuel in a statement. “Congratulations to the team of Chicago businesses that are embarking on this monumental project.” Emanuel has close financial ties with the Melman family - the owners of Lettuce Entertain You - who have donated a collective $374,600 to Emanuel’s campaign coffers.
