WHAT: Interesting conversations with interesting people!
SO WHAT: Chicago Humanities Festival always brings some of the best ideas to the surface with entertaining programming that captures your imagination. Their year may be over, but certainly be on the lookout for updates for next year's season as their website is constantly updated with new talks.

FRIDAY - SUNDAY, APRIL 26-28 (& BEYOND)

C2E2: Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo @ McCormick Place South Building, 2301 S Martin Luther King Dr, Saturday & Sunday 10:00am – 7:00pm, Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm. All Ages
WHAT: The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – also known as C2E2 – is a comic book and pop culture convention spanning the latest and greatest from the world of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games in downtown Chicago.
SO WHAT: It’s three days of everything you ever wanted to know about nerd culture and geek stuff in a totally cool and inclusive atmosphere. There will be panels, workshops, speakers, and a whole lot of cosplayers. It’s honestly the most fun you’ll have exploring your every nerdy whim!
NOW WHAT: Tickets are still available! Friday passes are $70, Saturday and Sunday are $80 and 3-Day passes are $115!

2024 Spring One of a Kind Show @ The Mart, 222 Merchandise Mart Plz, Various times, All Ages
WHAT: Three days of artists and makers selling their wares!
SO WHAT: The Spring One of a Kind Spring Show will feature immersive experiences for shoppers to enjoy! You’ll have the opportunity to shop for handcrafted work from 350 exhibiting artists, makers, and designers from across the country and beyond. There will also be live entertainment provided by local musicians, a gourmet market, fine art gallery and on-site cafes and bars all weekend long.
NOW WHAT: Tickets are $15 per adult for entry to all three days, $8 for a tote bag, and $20 for the ticket and tote bundle! Children under 11 receive free admission.

The Neo-Futurists’ The Infinite Wrench @ The Neo-Futurist Theater, 5153 N Ashland, Friday and Saturday 10:30pm, Sunday 7:00pm, 16+
WHAT: Quick plays live and online!
SO WHAT: The Neo-Futurists are back! Their Infinite Wrench is an  ongoing, ever-changing attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes for a live audience. Now it’s actually a live audience that will be enjoying the performance in person!
NOW WHAT: Join the Neo-Futurists this weekend for $20!  The Infinite Wrench Goes Viral will be continuing til February (and possibly beyond) over at their Patreon

Show some love for our one-and-only planet at this earth-friendly market!
SO WHAT:
Celebrate Earth Week at the Trashy Earth Market featuring incredible creators transforming reclaimed materials and repurposing less-than-loved stuff! They'll be giving Trashy a whole new meaning! You’ll have the opportunity to support eco- & socially conscious businesses offering a huge selection of unique locally-crafted wares including home goods, planters, art, fashion, bath and body and more. Plus there will be plenty of hands-on, trashy activities for all ages.

Illinois Brewery Running Series @ Solemn Oath Brewery, 2919 W Armitage Avenue, 11am
WHAT: A fun run for beer!
SO WHAT: Take a quick run and be rewarded with a beer at these series of 5k walks and runs! All the Illinois Brewery Running Series events are untimed, emphasizing a fun time more than anything else! All the runs include one beer, collector’s glassware or seasonal swag item, and an invitation to enjoy the day’s scheduled festivities like live music, food, goodies, and giveaways! WHAT: A fantastic folk festival
SO WHAT: University of Chicago Folk Festival might have come and gone but their digital presence is still around, making sure the wonderful music reaches as many people as possible! You can check out the past few years of performances on their Facebook page and their YouTube channel any time you want! This past year's performers included The Price Sisters, Brian Conway, Jerron "Blind Boy" Paxton, Ruby John, Sean "Mack" McDonald, and many more!
